Mick Brewis heads the US team, who manage a range of US mandates from concentrated 20-stock to more diversified 60-stock models but applying the same underlying stockpicking approach. Except for Brewis, who concentrates on the overall picture, the other members have sector research responsibilities. Each member of the team actively travels to the US. As is typical of Baillie Gifford, the most junior analysts rotate between desks. Mick graduated BA in Economics from Cambridge University in 1985, and joined Baillie Gifford in the same year. He became a Partner in 1993 and is Head of the North American Equity Team
