Tarek Shahin
Tarek is a portfolio manager in the Frontier Markets team. He joined Investec Asset Management in October 2008 as an equities analyst in the Frontier Investments team, covering the MENA region. Before joining Investec Tarek spent almost two years with the Cairo-based Beltone Financial Group as a senior analyst, heading the MENA construction sector team. Prior to this he spent two years as an Egypt and regional analyst at the Cairo office of the New York based Concord International Investments Group. Tarek has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Edinburgh Business School, which he received in 2007. He completed his undergraduate studies at the American University in Cairo in 2004 with honours, majoring in business administration with a specialisation in finance.
