Fund provider Schroder has announced that Asian Income Fund manager Richard Sennitt has moved fund holdings out of Japan as a result of a lack of income opportunities in the country.

The move follows the decision to change the fund name, and IMA sector, in December 2009 from Far East Income to Asian Income.
If you are an investor in the Asian Income Fund, you may wish to review the asset allocation of your portfolio in light of the changes, particularly if you want exposure to Japanese equities.
There are currently two Japanese funds on our Heroes list; the Jupiter Japan Income Fund and Schroder's Tokyo Fund.
